blown up balloons are pulled over trimmed drip counters. rubberbands are twisted around the waistlines of the balloons. with the help of the drip counting  mechanism a very slow deflation of the air is achieved. the process of deflation causes the rubberbands to equally slowly untwist until they fall off the balloons. the balloons act as resonators and transform each twist into sounds ranging from pitched tones to dry percussive noises.
